To supersede the requirements of the standard referenced in Sentence 3.2.5.9.(1) and require that when hose cabinet doors are opened they do not obstruct the required width of a means of egress. This is to limit the probability of delays in evacuation or moving to a safe place in a fire situation, which could lead to harm to persons.
