Intent 1:

To limit the probability that persons will not be familiar with the direction of egress from a service space, which could lead to delays in the evacuation or movement of persons to a safe place in an emergency situation, which could lead to harm to persons.

Intent 2:

To expand the application of Sentences 3.4.5.1.(2) and (6) to include service spaces.
