To exempt corridors used by the public in assembly occupancies from the application of Sentence 3.3.2.6.(1), which would otherwise require a fire separation, on the basis that the travel distance to an exit is limited.
This is to limit the probability of delays in the evacuation or movement of persons to a safe place, which could lead to harm to persons.
