Intent 1:
To limit the probability that:
- the dead load due to partitions not shown on the drawings,
including temporary or future partitions, will not be taken into account
in the structural design, and
- the load allowance for the dead load due to partitions
not shown on the drawings, including temporary or future partitions,
will be less than the accepted minimum value.
This is to limit the probability of
structural failure, which could lead to harm to persons.
