Intent 1:
To limit the probability that the performance of
polyethylene used as an air barrier will fall significantly below
expectations with respect to:
- air transfer resistance, or
- strength, flexibility, and resistance to tearing, puncturing,
oxidation or ultraviolet radiation, which could lead to damage during
installation, which could lead to an inadequate resistance to air
leakage, which could lead to negative effects on the air quality of
indoor spaces.
This is to limit the probability of
harm to persons.
