- the compromised structural integrity of floors-on-ground,
which could lead to the ingress of moisture from the ground, which
could lead to the deterioration of building elements.
This is to limit the probability of:
- precipitation ingress,
- condensation, or
- the ingress of moisture from the ground.
This is to limit the probability of:
- an inadequate control of relative humidity or water
accumulation,
- the generation of pollutants from biological growth
or from materials that become unstable on wetting, or
- deterioration, which could lead to compromised integrity
of elements protected by floors-on-ground.
