Intent 1:

To limit the probability that persons will not be promptly notified of a fire situation, which could lead to delays in the evacuation or movement of persons to a safe place, which could lead to harm to persons.

Intent 2:

To limit the probability that emergency responders will not be promptly notified of a fire situation, which could lead to delays or ineffectiveness in carrying out fire emergency response operations, which could lead to:

• delays in the evacuation or movement of persons to a safe place, or
• the spread of fire.

This is to limit the probability of harm to persons.
