- inadequate mulling of combination units, or
- inadequate selection of fasteners.
This is to limit the probability of:
- inadequate control of air leakage,
- precipitation into interior space,
- structural damage due to wind loads or snow loads on
skylights or where windows have sloped or near-horizontal components.
This is to limit the probability of:
- condensation or water accumulation, which could lead
to deterioration, which could lead to compromised structural integrity
of assemblies acting as environmental separators, or
- structural failure of windows, doors or skylights.
This is to limit the probability of harm to persons.
