Intent 1:

To direct Code users to Subsection 3.6.5., which contains requirements for fire safety for air duct and plenum systems serving heating, ventilating and air-conditioning systems [see Sentence 6.9.1.1.(2)].

Intent 2:

To modify the application of Subsection 3.6.5. to include all Part 9 situations that are required to comply with Part 6.
