To exempt dwelling units from the requirement in the latter part of Sentence 9.10.21.7.(1) for smoke detectors in corridors providing access to exit from sleeping rooms, on the basis that the dwelling units are equipped with smoke alarms and have a small occupant load, which should enable persons to quickly escape in the early stages of a fire.
