To exempt the joints between the foundation walls and floor slabs and the joint between the horizontal portion of the foundation wall that supports masonry veneer where the insulation is placed on the exterior of the foundation wall from the requirement stated in Sentence 9.36.2.5.(1) regarding continuity of insulation.
