To qualify the application of Sentence 9.36.5.10.(1), and allow small building envelope components and assemblies that form part of a larger building envelope assembly to be modeled with an adjacent assembly with the same orientation, on the basis that, due to their small relative size, they have no significant impact on energy consumption, and due to their proximity to a similar assembly, they can be modeled as forming part of it.
