Intent

Intent 1:

To exempt covered malls from the application of Sentence 2.12.1.1.(1) and permit their use for merchandising or public activities, if certain conditions are met.

This is to limit the probability that fire safety hazards will not be controlled, which could lead to the start and spread of fire, which could lead to damage to the building.

Intent 2:

To state the application of Section 2.8. and Articles 2.12.1.2. to 2.12.1.9.
