To supersede part of the requirement in Sentence 3.2.7.14.(1) for placards to conform to the “Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations” and permit individual storage areas and laboratories to be identified with placards showing only the UN number of the dangerous goods stored or used therein, where the dangerous goods consist of a single product.
This is to limit the probability that emergency response operations will be delayed or inefficient, which could lead to the unwanted release or spread of dangerous goods, which could lead to harm to persons, including emergency responders.
