Intent 1:

To limit the probability that fire protection installations will not be maintained at the level of fire protection originally intended, which could lead to the fire protection installations not operating properly in a fire situation, which could lead to:

• delays in the evacuation or movement of persons to a safe place, or
• the spread of fire.

This is to limit the probability of harm to persons.
