Application | Application 1: Minimum fire-resistance rating of loadbearing walls, columns and arches supporting floor
assemblies immediately above basements, in buildings described in Sentence 1.3.3.2.(1) of Division A.
Application 2: This also applies to a crawl space required to be
considered as a basement, as stated in Sentence 3.2.2.9.(1).
Exceptions:
except as exempted in Sentences 3.2.2.42.(3), 3.2.2.43.(3), 3.2.2.44.(3), 3.2.2.45.(3), 3.2.2.46.(3), 3.2.2.47.(3) and 3.2.2.48.(3),
which apply to loadbearing walls, columns and
arches supporting floor assemblies entirely contained within dwelling
units in a building of residential
occupancy.
