Attribution | |
Application | Application 1: Fire-resistance rating of
an exposing building face of noncombustible
construction of a building of low

where the limiting distance is not less than 3

Intent | Intent 1: To exempt certain exposing building faces from the requirements
of Sentences 3.2.3.1.(1) and 3.2.3.7.(1), (2) and (3), which would otherwise require a fire-resistance rating, on
the basis that the building has a low fire load, the exposing building face
is of noncombustible construction and the limiting distance is not less than 3
m. These conditions are to limit the probability of the spread of fire
from the building to an adjacent building, which could lead to damage to adjacent
buildings. |
