Application
Application 1:

This applies to buildings described in Sentence 1.3.3.2.(1) of Division A.

To limit the probability that persons will not be familiar with the swinging action of sliding doors in an emergency situation, which could lead to the build-up of a group of persons at the door, which could lead to delays in the evacuation or movement of persons to a safe place, which could lead to harm to persons.

To limit the probability that a person will not be familiar with the swinging action of sliding doors in an emergency situation, which could lead to the person thinking the door is locked if it fails to open in the expected direction of travel, which could lead to confusion, which could lead to delays in the evacuation or movement of persons to a safe place, which could lead to harm to persons.
