Application	Application 1: Direction and axis of swing of sliding doors provided in the locations described in Article 3.3.1.11. that: are in a corridor that provides an access to exit in both directions, are used to divide a corridor that is not wholly contained within a suite, open into a corridor or other facility providing an access to exit from a room or suite that is used or intended for: an occupant load of more than 60, or a high hazard industrial occupancy, and open into a corridor or other facility providing an access to exit from a suite or room not located within a suite. This applies to buildings described in Sentence 1.3.3.2.(1) of Division A. Application 2: This also applies to tents and air-supported structures, as stated in Sentences 3.1.6.1.(1) and 9.10.1.2.(1). Application 3: This also applies to an exit door leading directly to the outdoors at ground level that is permitted to be a sliding door, as stated in Sentence 3.4.6.13.(1). Exceptions: except as stated in: Sentence 3.1.6.2.(1), which prohibits air-supported structures from being located above the first storey on any building, Sentence 3.1.6.2.(2), which prohibits air-supported structures from being used for classrooms or for Groups B, C, or Group F, Division 1 major occupancies, Sentence 3.1.6.2.(3), which requires air-supported structures to be designed as open floor spaces without interior walls, mezzanines, intermediate floors or similar construction, Sentence 3.3.1.12.(2), which applies to Group B, Division 1 occupancies or impeded egress zones in other occupancies, and Sentence 3.3.1.12.(3), which applies to movable partitions.

Intent	Intent 1: To exempt a sliding door from the application of Sentence 3.3.1.11.(1) on the basis that it is designed to swing on a vertical axis in the direction of travel when pressure is applied.
