Application | Application 1: Minimum number and maximum area of fire
compartments dividing floor areas containing
patients' sleeping rooms in a hospital or nursing home.
Exceptions:
except as stated in Sentence 3.3.3.5.(3), which applies to floor areas on either side of a horizontal
exit.
This applies to care or detention occupancy in buildings described in Sentence 1.3.3.2.(1) of Division A.
Application 2: This also applies to tents and air-supported
structures, as stated in Sentences 3.1.6.1.(1) and 9.10.1.2.(1).

be exposed to hazardous conditions during a fire emergency while arrangements
are being made to move patients to a safer location, which could lead to fire
emergency response operations being delayed or ineffective, which could lead
to the spread of fire to other parts of the building, which could lead to
damage to the building. |
