Intent | Intent 1: To waive the requirement for a fire separation between a
dwelling unit and an attached garage as stated in Sentence 3.3.5.6.(1) on
the basis that the dwelling unit and garage are separated from the remainder
of the building. This [the separation] is to limit the
probability that a fire involving the garage or the dwelling unit will spread
to other parts of the building, which could lead to damage to the building.
