Objective	OS1 Fire Safety

Application	Application 1: Fire separations separating repair garages from other occupancies. This applies to buildings to which Part 9 applies [see Sentence 1.3.3.3.(1) of Division A for application of Part 9]. Exceptions: except as stated in: Sentence 9.10.9.17.(2), which applies to ancillary spaces directly serving repair garages, including waiting rooms, reception rooms, tool and parts storage areas and supervisory office space, and Sentence 9.10.9.17.(3), which applies to repair garages in single-storey buildings where the whole building is operated as a single suite and the only other occupancy is a mercantile occupancy. Application 2: This also applies to fire separations between ancillary spaces directly serving repair garages, including waiting rooms, reception rooms, tool and parts storage areas and supervisory office space, and other occupancies, as stated in Sentence 9.10.9.17.(2).
