Intent 1:

To limit the probability that the design of the connection between buildings will not take into account the behaviour of the connected buildings as a whole, which could lead to the structural failure of the connection, which could lead to the impact of adjacent structures, which could lead to:

• damage to the building, or
• damage to the building, which could impede the intended use and occupancy of the building.
