Intent 1:

To limit the probability that a fire involving fuel-fired appliances outside a building will spread into the building through unprotected wall openings, which could lead to harm to persons inside the building.

Intent 2:

To limit the probability that a fire involving fuel-fired appliances outside a building will spread to an adjacent building, which could lead to harm to persons in the adjacent building.

Intent 3:

To make Appendix B [specifically Article D-2.3.15.] applicable with respect to wired glass assemblies.
