To supersede the requirements of the standards referenced in Sentences 3.2.5.12.(1) and (2), which would otherwise not require sprinklers in certain rooms or closets.
This is to limit the probability that a fire starting in such rooms or closets will not be suppressed or controlled, which could lead to the spread of fire to the roof assembly and other parts of the building, which could lead to damage to the building.
