Intent 1:

To limit the probability that deviations in alignment of a deep foundation unit, and the location of the top will not be taken into account in its design, manufacture and installation, which could lead to excessive displacement of the foundation, which could lead to:

• damage to the building, and
• distortion of the building, which could impede the use and occupancy of the building.
