To exempt ducts serving similar occupancies from the application of Sentence 6.3.2.10.(1) and allow ducts to be combined at a point where contaminants are immediately exhausted to the outdoors and are unlikely to enter the ventilated occupancies.
This is to limit the probability of harm to persons.
