Intent 1:

To limit the probability that the load on exterior areas of buildings that are accessible to vehicular traffic will not take into account the maximum expected accumulation of weight due to equipment, or due to rain or snow and associated rain, as provided for in Subsection 4.1.6., which could lead to:

• the excessive deformation of, or excessive stress in, structural elements, which could lead to damage to the building, or
• the excessive deflection or excessive vibration of structural elements, which could impede the intended use and occupancy of the building.
