Intent 1:

To limit the probability that the inadequate design, construction or operation of heating, ventilating or air-conditioning systems will lead to performance that is significantly below expectations, which could lead to the inadequate control of:

• relative humidity or indoor air temperatures,
• surface temperatures,
• air velocity, or
• condensation.

This is to limit the probability of:

• the inadequate thermal comfort of persons, and
• contact with moisture.

This is to limit the probability of harm to persons.
