To limit the probability of the accumulation of
condensate in the exhaust-air side of heat recovery ventilators, which
could lead to:
- the freezing of condensate, which could lead to the
blockage of condensate drains, which could lead to inadequate ventilation,
or
- leakage between exhaust and supply airstreams, which
could lead to the generation of pollutants from biological growth
and their entry into living space.
This is to limit the probability of
negative effects on the air quality of indoor spaces, which could
lead to harm to persons.
