To limit the probability that an inappropriate method
will be used to determine the exposure factor or the gust effect factor,
which could lead to:
- the excessive deformation of, or excessive stress in,
structural elements, which could lead to damage to the building, or
- the excessive deflection or excessive vibration of structural
elements, which could impede the intended use and occupancy of the
building.
