| Application | Application 1: Flashing for horizontal joints in cladding, and where
cladding substrates change and the substrates differ sufficiently for stresses
to be concentrated along the line of horizontal change, in cladding assemblies
to which Subsection 9.27.3. applies [see Article 9.27.1.1. for
application of Subsection 9.27.3., and where the cladding above
and below the joint is outboard of a drained and vented air space.
