To limit the probability that the connection design
force will not reflect the significant risk to life safety associated
with such components becoming dislodged or falling off the side of
a building, which could lead to:
- components of the building falling or sliding, which
could lead to damage to the building, or
- damage to and functional failure of a component's system,
which could impede the intended use and occupancy of the building.
