To limit the probability that the connections will
not be designed to transfer the attachment forces, Vp,
and the gravity loads arising from the components they support, which
could lead to failure of the connection, which could lead to:
components of the building falling or sliding, which
could lead to damage to the building, or
damage to and functional failure of a component's system,
which could impede the intended use and occupancy of the building.
